I had gotten bonding when I was 18 years old, so by the time I got my veneers put on, it was quite a lot of years, and they were starting to discolor. They were starting to chip. They almost looked stained in some areas, so I was very self-conscious of my smile, and also with the bonding, I was always worried about biting into food or chewing something that a piece was going to come off. So I talked to Dr. Fox about it, and she recommended veneers. We talked about it. She showed me some samples. She showed me some before and after pictures, and I was happy with her work. And when I got them, I just couldn’t be happier. Definitely more confident with my smile, and whenever I talk to anybody, I always say, you get an opportunity to get veneers or even really come to Dr. Fox, I would always recommend her. When I look in the mirror now, I see teeth that I’m happy with because they’re all the same color. She did a really great job of matching them with my bottom teeth, and then I’m not worried about somebody just looking at my teeth and thinking, What’s going on with her teeth? The other thing is, she really recommended it, and I thought it was a great idea and I’ve seen this on other people and it doesn’t look that great. Some people, when they get veneers and they smile, they’ve only got veneers halfway through their mouth, so then when they smile, they still have some of the older teeth, so that was one of the things that she had recommended for me to do, and I’m really glad that I did that.

Well, we’ve been coming … for me and my family, we’ve been coming here for at least 25 years. It’s a … one, I feel confident in not only Dr. Fox but her staff. The quality of their work is great, but one of the best things is, is when you come into their office, you feel relaxed. And it’s not only Dr. Fox, but the whole staff makes you feel relaxed. We actually had a comment one time from one of the people who came here, one of the newer clients, is that, “Are they always this nice?” And they are. It’s just, it’s more like a family atmosphere. You don’t feel like it’s a sterile environment. So we enjoy coming here. I’ve referred a cousin of mine here, then a family member within his side of the family came here. And it’s all because they knew I had implants before and they saw how my smile was, and they could not tell the difference between whether they were my real teeth, implants. And they came here, and then it was, once I knew they would come here that they would like Dr. Fox and her staff. Again, it’s more relaxed. It’s kind of a family atmosphere, and that goes back to the question or the statement I made before that’s like, they came in and they said, “Are they always this nice?” So I guess what they’re used to is, a doctor comes in, very sterile, and it’s not that way here. So I have … and I have referred people, and I would have no problems referring other people here because I know they’re going to get a feel-good, and they’re going to have a good experience.

I lost my teeth through a bad dentist. Also, I had some gum issues and that. But it was like I’ve had so many unnecessary teeth taken out. But I’ve had a very bad experience with an oral surgeon who did so much damage to my gums and to my mouth. The structure, he left me with no structure in my mouth, so I had no support underneath my gums. Actually, my husband started coming here first, and I was looking for a dentist because I have specialty problems in my mouth with my gums and with my teeth and everything, so I needed a very qualified dentist. And he recommended Dr. Fox. And I needed somebody that specialized in the Hybridge treatment. From that step forward, she’s been working with the new high bridge, which I will be getting pretty soon. This is still my denture. She went over and beyond the call of duty, working with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy, not only aesthetically, how it would make me look, but my bite, just the overall. She wanted me to be happy with every aspect of this. She’s enabled me to get to the point where now I can have a permanent Hybridge, and it looks – aesthetically, it’s beautiful, and the bite is wonderful. And the first thing on order is a T-bone steak when I get it.

Well, Dr. Fox had recommended that I had implants in there, and at the time I resisted. It was more, I just wasn’t ready to do that. But then came to a point that I was very self-conscious in trying to smile in front of people. So then I came around at that point, and we went through the process. For me it was, I had an excellent procedure. I had no problems through the whole process. I had confidence in talking to people and smiling. Before, I wasn’t that way and for good reason, but not today. Before the procedure and having the implants, I had various issues with my front teeth. So it was one that I really was hesitant to smile in front of people. But during the process – you go through and you have your temporary teeth that are in there – but when you go through the whole process and you finally get your permanent implants, it was like night and day for me. It was one that I did have the confidence to, talking to people. If something was funny, you smile, you laugh. Didn’t feel self-conscious about it. That’s a great feeling.

Root canals can be very intimidating for a lot of people. I too had heard nothing but horrible things about root canals. And that has not been my experience that it – basically in excruciating pain before you get here, like electricity when you bang your teeth together. Then you get the Novocain and go, “Oh, I’m good now.” But that’s really not the truth. But, yeah, her process, you know, it takes some time, but she’s got some nice aides. There’s something she puts in my mouth that holds it open, so you’re not constantly having to concentrate on that. You can just relax. And she’s got pretty pictures on the ceiling, and she’s talking to you the whole time. Kind of telling you what’s going on. So, it really hasn’t been a bad experience for me. Can’t say for anybody else, but she’s done two for me, and both of them were just fine. The other thing that’s really nice is they call the next day. I mean, whatever’s going on, it’s the next day. “How’s it going?” So that you’re really sure that if you have some small question you might not have wanted to bother them with, well, that’s a good time to be able to ask anything. And this last time that I had one done, which was maybe only a month or two ago, I was actually taking pictures of my face as it decided to do this. And she’s going, “Oh yeah, yeah. Get in here. Get in here now.” And made the time, which, she’s pretty busy, but it was very nice that she could squeeze me in.

I had health reasons with diabetes, and your gums control your heart, your health, and that led me to a decision one night. After having some kind of quads gum surgery, my teeth were getting loose. I lost one tooth. Then I lost another tooth. I’m like, what’s this guy doing? I’m spending thousands of dollars, and they want to do one tooth at a time, and I came home, and went on the internet, and came up with the Hybridge. Next thing you know, I landed on Dr. Fox’s website, made a contact call. She wanted me to come in for an interview before anything, to see if I would fit being a patient of hers, which I went through that whole procedure in 2011. She agreed to do it. When I finally got my teeth, I was the happiest person. My health improved. My smile improved. I felt more confident, but at the end of the rainbow, it was totally worth it, and I would do it again.

My gums have receded, and because of the recession, then I was getting cavities and some bleeding. And in fact ended up kind of losing a back one because they had recessed so far as to expose so much of the root, there wasn’t much that could be done. So, I’m coming in going, “Why am I … What are the cavities? I’m brushing, I’m flossing,” and they said, “Well, roots were not designed to fight decay. And so as long as they’re exposed, you’re in more danger of having cavities.” So, it was … appearance-wise, it also was nicer, because the roots will take more color, so they’re darker than the rest of my teeth. And so now, with the gumline coming down, it looks better. We had tried something earlier, which gave some results, but not the old free skin graft. And then she got into this, and said, “We need to try this.” And I said, “Sure.” And it really was rather dramatic, how much difference it made. It went very smoothly, it had very little pain. I would do it again, and I have three other quadrants.

Well, I’ve been coming here 21 years. I’ve had numerous procedures done. Sadly, I didn’t take care of my teeth when I was younger, and so the first thing we started with was redoing the fillings that I got when I was a kid, and then that only lasts so long. These were things that I didn’t know about, as you get older, and so then you have too much filling and you’re gonna be moving into crowns. But whatever she’s done … I’ve heard a lot of people talk about stuff needing to be redone. I have not had that experience. Everything she’s done for me has been good. If there’s been … At one point, I think with the implant, she used a medium glue to put it on, making sure that I could tolerate it. And so if I couldn’t, there was some issue, she could take it off without difficulty. Well, okay, it lasted a little while and it came off. And so then it was like, “Okay, yes, you’re taking good care of it. It’s doing well.” And so then she put it back on with the really hard stuff, and it’s given me zero problems since. So yeah, I just find that they’re reliable and trustworthy, and she gives me options. I’ve never had the feeling that, “Oh, this is the flavor of the week and it’s also gonna help put her kids through college,” although I sometimes tease her about that. It’s all about what’s best for me. On one occasion, it was like, “I think we can get away with a crown. Eventually, something else is gonna have to happen, but we think we’re gonna be good for a while.” Or, “I think this is only gonna last maybe a year if you do a crown, and then we’re talking implant.” Well, might as well just go ahead and start puttin’ the money into the implant then. So she understands that finances matter, and only recommends … And the same thing with the pinhole procedure. She’s not going, “We need to do all four quadrants.” It’s like, “Yeah, we understand it’s something that can be done over time to match your finances with your needs.”
